QCC 600 is designed to meet the requirements of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission Document PCP-09 and prepare the student for the written examination component. This course is the first training that must be completed for a student to gain employment in Industrial Radiography. The course will cover the following industrial radiography topics: fundamentals of radiation and radioactivity, units of radiation detection and measurement, CNSC regulatory requirements, security measures, operational procedures, and radiation protection.

All student manuals, text books, and handouts will be provided on the first day of the course.
Unless otherwise notified, classes are 8:00-16:30 Monday-Friday.
Certificates will be issued to each student that successfully completes the course. Attendance will be recorded daily and in order to successfully pass the course, students must receive a grade of ≥75%.
